New
Europeanwide Tracker System from Siemens VDO.
One of Europes largest automotive
companies.
Technology
The
components of the system are compact and lightweight, facilitating flexible, concealed
installations. The position of the vehicle is achieved using satellite technology.
Reporting of the vehicles position, speed and direction is done via a GSM
network.
In
standby mode, that is at all times other than when an illegal movement has occurred,
the locator is constantly calculating its position every few seconds. In addition,
and approximately every 20 days, the locator will send a test transmission confirming
that the system is working. A log of these transmissions will be held on our database.
In
alarm mode, the locator increases its reporting rate, taking its current position
and opening a direct channel with the monitoring bureau. Here, the vehicle is
seen on street level maps and the recovery cycle begins.
The
combination of satellite positioning technologies and European wide GSM
communication
networks means that TrakBak Sentinel is one of the few systems
available
today that can give you real protection at home and abroad.
Whilst
there is nothing to stop you calling us in the event of your vehicle being stolen,
the TrakBak Sentinel system is designed to alert us at the very moment
the vehicle is stolen.
The
recovery cycle
When
we receive an alarm status transmission, we will immediately call
you on
one of the telephone numbers you have previously given us, asking you
to
verify the theft.
If
you confirm that no theft has occurred, then the process ends there.
If
you confirm that the vehicle has been stolen we would ask you to obtain an
incident number from the Police. You would then pass that onto us and the
recovery procedure would commence with the Bureau, directing the Police to
the vehicle until recovery is completed.
Police
recovery is the only safe and quick way to recover your vehicle, minimising
the risk of personal injury and using tried and tested procedures gained from
over
15 years of combined Bureau and Police experience in vehicle recovery
management.
