VDO Dayton is the first portable to offer specific navigation for trucks and large vehicles with full Europe coverage and digital TV.

The portable offers a route tailored to the vehicles attributes, enabling the vehicle to avoid any restrictions en route, such as low bridges and narrow roads. The system is easy to use, simply enter the vehicle's attributes eg type, height, width, length, weight and weight per axle, hazardous goods etc and the destination will be calculated avoiding any restrictions for the vehicle.

The system features European coverage including UK & Ireland, truck specific points of interests eg truck stops, multi-route planner with up to 10 routes with 40 drop offs each and a travel/rest time manager.

Additional features include accident hotspots, touch screen operation, digital TV, games, JPEG viewer, video (WMA) and MP3 playback. Options include TMC dynamic traffic information and Bluetooth handsfree calling.

The stylish unit is available in a widescreen 5.6" display (PN6000TSN) or a pocket friendly 4.3" display (PN4000TSN).

The system can provide real operational benefits including reduced fuel costs and wear and tear on the vehicle plus increased driver safety.
