How
does MAGIC WATCH work?
The reversing distance sensor is activated whenever
the reverse gear is engaged. It measures the distance to an obstacle with the
help of up to four ultrasonic sensors mounted on the rear of your vehicle.
The
sensors warn you with an acoustic signal if your vehicle comes to close to an
obstacle. The sensors provide almost complete monitoring of the area behind the
vehicle. Even objects at awkward angles are reliably detected.
Should
one of the sensors fail, you are immediately informed by the self diagnosis function.
A new feature incorporated in some models is the DSM function. The Digital
Signal Memory ensures that tow bar couplings and other "obstacles"
permanently fitted to the vehicle are ignored by the system.
