Dayton HPC 1300 and HPC
1700 – two new sound systems for “Brainvibrations” An
in-car high-end quality sound experience – this is the claim around which VDO
Dayton has started to promote with its new line of loudspeaker systems. The HPC
1300 and HPC 1700 high-performance speaker systems consist of two tweeters, two
woofers and two matched filters. Designed as high level upgrades for standard
in-car music systems, these are the first systems with which VDO Dayton is entering
the top acoustic class in the car audio market with the intention of establishing
new reference values in that segment. That already becomes evident in the specifications
for the two sound packages – after all, the HPC 1300 achieves maximum power of
200 watts and the HPC 1700, 300 watts. At the same time the two sound systems
impress with their relatively compact mounting depth to achieve such power levels
in comparison to competition.
Alongside the appealing design in matt aluminium and with gold connectors, it
is above all the selection of high-quality materials, ensuring a hitherto unique
sound experience in this class, which characterises these two innovative developments.
Thus for example the cone in the non-resonating cast aluminium basket is made
of Nomex Kevlar glassfibre which is a high tech material seen in Space applications.
This means, on the one hand, that it responds easily and with extreme sensitivity
while, on the other hand, displays absolute stability and resistance to breakdown
even under the greatest acoustic pressure. Then there is the magnet which, through
its special construction, eliminates almost all distortion, thus enabling a very
wide, harmonic acoustic pattern. With this package, the two loudspeaker systems
guarantee maximum performance in all ranges – with crystal clear trebles and rich
basses. |
