in the new Passat: 230 volts by WAECO
Wolfsburg-based
Volkswagen, when selecting the standard features for the new Passat, decided to
trust WAECO’s expertise in electronics. The new Passat is Europe’s first
car model to offer a 230-volt Euro-socket as standard. Its secret is a custom-built,
high-performance inverter “made in Emsdetten”, which generates 230 volts
alternating current for laptops etc. to be used on the road. |
