The name Oyster is the name used for Ten Haaft in Europe, who have been producing mobile satellite TV equipment for the leisure industry for over 10 years. The Oyster range of satellite systems are highly regarded within the industry for their superior build quality, reliability and excellent technical support. The Oyster range includes a wide selection of mobile satellite TV dishes, which have been perfected by the company through over 10 years of production. One of the most popular units is the Oyster Vision, which is the largest dish in the range at 85cm high. This unit allows you to get 'free-to-air' channels as far south as Barcelona, and news channels anywhere in Europe (given you have a suitable digibox). The Oyster SamY is a 64cm dish, made popular through its unique low profile base unit and compact controller. This makes it ideal for Vans where every inch of space is important, and is therefore an interesting solution for some caravanners and motorhomers. This dish gets 'free-to-air' channels as far as southern France, as well as news channels across the whole of Europe (again dependant on having a suitable digibox). Another interesting option is the Oyster Mobile Satellite Broadband Internet system, which enables you to get excellent internet coverage wherever you are in the UK and even as far as southern Spain (see footprint map ). The same Oyster dish can also be used as a satellite TV system, however both utilities cannot be used at the same time. |
