UK Broadcasters - BSkyB
British Sky Broadcasting is a leading provider of sports, movies, entertainment and news - whose channels are received by over 11million households in the UK and Eire. The launch of the UK's first digital television service, Sky digital, on 1 October 1998, signaled the start of a new era in British broadcasting. It remains the fastest, most successful rollout of any digital TV service in Europe, attracting 5.9 million customers at the end of September 2001.

If you already have an account with Sky it is possible to use your Sky card in your leisure vehicle. Providing you contact Sky you can receive all the Sky channels, rather than the standard 16 channels, by inserting the card into the digibox in your leisure vehicle and making a telephone call to Sky. On your return simply place your card in the digibox at home (if you have one for home and one for leisure) and again telephone Sky to have card made ready to view your favourite programmes. This applies in the UK only.

UK Broadcasters - BBC
Since it was first formed as a company in 1922, five years before it received its first Royal Charter and became the British Broadcasting Corporation, the BBC has been a world leader in programme production. It has pioneered communications in radio, television and online technologies.

Freeview, the new digital terrestrial television (DTT) service, launched on Wednesday 30th October 2002.

Freeview is a fresh start for DTT in the UK. For a one-off cost of around £99 for an adapter, your customers can enjoy more channels and quality programming on their existing televisions.

Freeview will launch after significant improvements have been made to the quality and reliability of the DTT signal. These changes, including the doubling of power at many transmitters and changing the transmission mode of the DTT, will increase the number of households able to receive the DTT service and reduce the number of households affected by interference.
