The TracVision satellite TV units are a range of dome systems produced by KVH Industries, recognized as one of the world’s premier manufacturers of mobile satellite systems. These include domes for use on motorhomes and trucks, with a variation of customer benefits for each of their systems.

When deciding on the right dome system for your needs the first option to consider is when you will be using the unit; the R4 domes work only when the vehicle is stationary, and the R5 domes work both when the vehicle is stationary and in-motion.

Once you have decided on that, there are further options in whether or not you would like them to be a slimline unit (30cm high) or regular size unit (37cm high). The larger versions have the benefit of being able to be upgraded to a twin LNB, allowing two separate channels to be watched on different TVs or watching one channel and recording on another. The slimline (SL) versions would obviously be beneficial to those with height restrictions on their vehicle, as well as those that are not bothered about having a twin LNB and would like the cheaper unit.
