3D-Effect VFD Display
Vacuum Fluorescent Display is a state-of-the-art display technology which provides high power light output for better visibility and excellent contrast regardless of where the car radio is positioned. 3D effect VFD display is an innovation from VDO Dayton. A second layer display is superimposed on the first one. The combination of those two layers, and the fantastic animations provided, create a virtual 3D dimension display and 100% entertainment when switched on.

3-D Surround Sound
Brings ultimate "3- dimensional" sound into your car, engulfing the listeners in a sea of sound - listening pleasure at its finest! Smart electronics "enlarge" the interior of your car.

4-Channel 4V Preamp Out
The 4-channel line out multiplies the sound power combinations and pre-amplifier connections. In order to optimise the signal to noise ratio and increase dynamics, outputs are supplied at 4V.

Anti-Vibration Mechanism
The anti-vibration mechanism of this CD-changer ensures that the CD changer operates efficiently in all driving conditions.

Auto Equalizer
Measures and adjusts the sound curve at 5 different frequency points for car-specific optimised frequency output.

Auto Volume Leveler (AVL)
Ensures a constant volume level when switching between different audio sources, automatically compensating for discrepancies and obviating the need for manual adjustment.

Automatic Station List (ASL)
When listening to any other audio source than radio, the station list is automatically updated to always provide the best stations and all possible RDS stations.

Bass Boost System (BBS)
Boosts the bass out of the set. This function is selected via direct key access. 3 levels of effect can be chosen according to your preference.

Car Computer
The car computer provides a full range of functions, to help the driver on his/her journey, such as journey information and safety warnings:

• Clock
• Temperature
• Temperature warning (Temperature display & warning. The current outside temperature can be displayed at the push of a button. The system emits a warning tone when the temperature drops below 3°C.)
• Speed warning (emits a warning tone whenever a predefined speed limit is exceeded).
• Current/average speed
• Maximum speed
• Elapsed time/distance
• Elapsed time warning
• Battery voltage
• Battery warning

CD MP3 Player
The internal CD player is compatible with audio CDs, CD-R, CD-RW and MP3.

CD Text
Function available on CD players that allows information such as artist and title to he displayed if included on the CD.

DAB Control
Digital Audio Broadcast technology provides perfect digital radio reception with CD-like sound quality and additional services. When a DAB tuner is connected to the radio, you always get the best station reception. A dynamic algorithm switches between DAB and equivalent FM RDS station. Depending on the level of services provided by the station, the radio shows you radiotext information via the Program Associated Data function (PAD).

Digital CD Changer Input
The sound signals of the CD-changer are transmitted in digital form without any
D/A-processing.

Digital RDS-Tuner
Digital tuner offering a wide range of user functions.

Digital Sound Processor
High sound quality through digital processing of all audio signals. With its five sound pre-sets, the digital sound processing function enables you to choose your individual sound profile.

Handsfree Phone In
With the handsfree phone in function you have a Plug & Play solution for connecting the VDO Dayton handsfree phone kit. Using the high sound quality of your in car Hi-Fi, phone sound is processed through your loudspeakers, enabling a relaxed telephone call. The VDO Day handsfree phone kit includes a microphone and is available for most popular mobile phones on the market. In addition, the car radio provides the power supply to keep the battery of your mobile fully charged.

Navigation TMC Out
The car radio provides traffic information through the receiver of the RDS TMC decoder. When connected to a VDO Dayton navigation computer, this data is used to calculate a new route, avoiding traffic congestion and other problems.

Softkey Operation
Softkeys are assigned different functions depending on the audio source being used. For the user, this means maximum comfort from a few simple controls.

Software Access Menu (SAM)
Software Access Menu is an easy way to personalise your VOO Dayton car radio according to your preferences, and to install all possible options.

Sound Presets
There are five sound presets with pre-adjusted frequency curves for rock, pop, jazz, classic and vocal.

Speed Dependent Volume Control (SDVC)
When connected to the speedometer signal of the car, SDVC automatically adjusts the volume to ensure you always get the best sound.

Subwoofer Out
Line out dedicated to bass which can be connected to an amplifier. The output level is adjustable as well as the cut-off frequency, which allows you to use an amplifier without an active filter.

Telephone In
Input for connecting a GSM phone to the car's audio system.

Telephone Mute
Mutes the volume of the audio system automatically during a telephone call.
