GoldCruise
Actuator (servo) | |
The
heart of the GoldCruise is the completely new Actuator (servo), which was developed
in order to avoid installation errors and reduce the time needed for installation.
Moreover, the design guarantees correct operation in vehicles fitted with a drive-by-wire
accelerator.
| For
that purpose a special dual short stroke pulley (18 or 24 mm) has been
developed. Another important thing is the possibility to shorten the actuator
cable. After changing the pulley and the length of the actuator cable (both if
necessary), the dust-cover can be mounted very easily. Thanks to this new concept,
the complete actuator can be assembled in only two steps. |

Actuator | Now
that the actuator can be assembled in a foolproof manner, the actual mounting
procedure can take place at various locations. This results in a considerably
larger selling market and a modular distribution system. Another
important aspect is the use of the waterproof AMP plugs which offer the electrical
connections maximum protection against corrosion and meet the very highest international
standards. The use of high quality materials prolongs the life span of the servo
motor. |

The
most important Command Module for the European market will be the CM25 stalk.
This exclusive Gold Cruise steering column control combines all standard cruise
functions, a pause/resume button (coast) and also the '3-Memory Cruise'
functions in a single unit. Fully adaptable to the increased size of modern day
steering columns, thanks to the unique length adjustment. Of course the CM25 has
an attractive 'Original Equipment' design and the module is ergonomic.

The control
electronics are housed in a separate unit (ECU), which allows mounting in a less
hostile environment than in the engine compartment. Not only does this simplify
the installation procedure, it also prolongs the life span. The
ECU includes a self-learning technology, which means that micro switches
are no longer needed. The system can easily be adjusted to cater for the individual
wishes of the end user in terms of the trigger speed, sensitivity and reaction
