The CA-1000's super-compact dimensions of only 69cm x 56.5cm, (length x width) as well as slim line profile of just 199mm (height) make CoolAir nearly half the size of conventional units, and at 18kg about half the weight too. These neat dimensions make it ideal for vehicles equipped with solar panels, a roof rack or satellite dish. Outstanding cooling performance WAECO (now Dometic) Engineers' patented arrangement of the component parts incorporates new, high-speed evaporators and condensers in an aerodynamic round housing. By placing the evaporator in the vehicle interior, cooling is completely loss-free, giving outstanding cooling performance with only 1000 Watts. Four individually adjustable ventilation nozzles provide optimal distribution of cooled air in the vehicle. Extremely low current consumption Among the unbeatable advantages of the CA-1000 extremely low current consumption ranks very high. Depending upon ambient conditions the unit draws between 1.5 and 2.05 Amps. The low power consumption is due to another of WAECO Engineers' innovations, they have developed a single motor capable of running both the air supply and outlet fans. The CA-1000 is completely maintenance-free, the hermetically closed system means never having to top up the refrigerant.

CoolAir 1000 especially is suitable for vehicles which are already equipped with solar panels, a roof suit-case or satellite unit and therefore only little space is left on the roof. The unit can be installed instead of an existing roof window (400 x 400 mm up to 435 x 435 mm) or alternatively into a new opening.

CoolAir is also attractive for drivers of bigger mobiles. Two models can be installed independently targeted - one in the living area and the other one in the sleeping area.

The vehicle interior can be chilled by four individually adjustable blowers.

The extremely low power consumption (1,5-2,05 A) allows to run the unit also on camping grounds which only provide 3 amps.


CoolAir CA-1000 has four adjustable air jets. The self explanatory digital operator panel shows the preset temperature and blower setting.


The unique features of the CoolAir make it equally attractive to larger motor home owners: two independently operated units can be installed, one to cool the living space, one for the sleeping area. Accessories for the basic unit include everything you need to run it from the 12-Volt on-board power supply. The DC kit contains a charging current distributor, a special inverter with mains priority circuit including a sensor cable and is also available.
